UNWRAPPED??? If you haven't, you need to...plain and simple. If you have,
then you know and appreciate what Hidden Beach Records has put together. This
CD brings forth a new twist to sampling. UNWRAPPED is a contemporary jazz
CD featuring the talents of Everett Harp, Paul Jackson Jr., Patrice Rushen,
Johnny Britt of Impromp2, and Hidden Beach's own Mike Phillips. The twist
delivered on this unique CD is the contemporary jazz interpretations of Hip-Hop
Classics and R&B anthems. UNWRAPPED has found a new musical nerve in listeners
ear and is pounding out fresh sounds.
The concept behind
UNWRAPPED is relatively simple. It began as a fun project by Tony Joseph,
Darryl Ross, and Paul Jackson Jr. intended primarily for Hidden Beach in-house
use. Thank God this CD made it out of the Hidden Beach doors into the retail
shops and airwave for all of us to experience.

beats and universally appealing vibes continuously claimed more and more fans,
prompting its eventual release as a stand-alone project. And from the initial
reports out of Atlanta, "UNWRAPPED" has the city "UNHINGED."
