As a young boy on the island of Dominica,
the early influences of reggae, Bob Marley and Berres Hammond
would make a huge impact on the grooves of this soulful
artist. But at the tender young age of 10, Michael Jackson
and "Beat it" would seal his love for American
Music.
At the age of twelve Heston moved to Philadelphia to live
with his mother and extended family. Heston turned to songwriting
and singing as solace. Through listening to great songwriters,
like Elton John and The Bee Gees, Heston learned to appreciate
the turn of a true and good lyric. His own lyrics speak
to the heart with a raw honesty about life and love taking
the listener to a new understanding.
With
the release of his debut EP, Heston has been able to broaden
and expand his reach to radio listeners and club-goers everywhere.
